Navigating New Jersey School Finance: A Dialogue with Passaic County Legislator- This workshop is designed for school board members to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of school finance in New Jersey. The session will cover key topics, including the state's school funding formula, local tax levies, and categorical and equalization aid. We will also explore the impact of recent proposed legislation on school budgets and financial planning. A significant portion of the workshop will be dedicated to a Questions and Answers session with invited members of the New Jersey State Legislature representing Passaic County, providing an opportunity for board members to receive direct insights and answers to pre-submitted questions.
