Navigating the AI Frontier:
A Guide to Policy and Practice for School Boards This workshop will
provide school board members with a comprehensive overview of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, with a specific focus on
developing and implementing effective AI policies. Led by
Superintendent John Coviello, Board President Lillana Baez-Molina,
and the Manchester Regional High School team, this session will
offer a practical look at how one district is successfully
integrating AI. Participants will gain insight into the ethical
considerations, potential benefits, and challenges of AI, and will
learn key strategies for creating a robust and forward-thinking AI
policy. The workshop will showcase real-world examples of how
Manchester Regional High School's administration and staff are
using AI to enhance learning and administrative functions. The
hybrid format will allow for in-person participation at Manchester
Regional High School, as well as a virtual option for those
attending remotely.
