We eagerly await the first Morris County SBA
hybrid meeting of the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday, October
2. The topic for the program is, ``Mental Health Resources
for Your School District``.
Schools prioritize students` mental health, and there
are many tools and resources to choose from. NJ Statewide Student
Support Services (NJ4S) network provides prevention and brief
intervention services to New Jersey public school students,
parents/caretakers, and school faculty. The program will feature a
presentation from the NJ Statewide Student Support Services
(NJ4S).
The meeting will include reports from the Morris County
SBA Executive Committee Members, a preview of Workshop 2024: Quest
for Student Success, an Advocacy Update from the NJSBA Advocacy
Team, and a Field Services update from NJSBA senior field service
representative Charlene Peterson.
We will also recognize the Kinnelon Board of Education,
Long Hill Township Board of Education, Mendham Township Board of
Education, Mountain Lakes Board of Education, Netcong Board of
Education, and Unity Charter School Board of Trustees for achieving
Board Certification through the New Jersey School Boards
Association Board Member Academy.
As a special treat, the Pequannock Township Board of
Education has taken its board service to the next level. It now
qualifies for the Carole E. Larsen Master Board Certification,
which will be honored for that evening.
We warmly invite all Board of Education Members,
Superintendents, and Business Administrators from across New Jersey
to participate in person at Pequannock Township High School or
virtually. Your presence and insights at this important event are
highly valued.
